This picture captured my attention primarily for the colours. They're all really soft, and welcoming. The yellow surrounding is in strong contrast with the dark colour of the dress, but this doesn't make it harsh. I love the way you can almost feel the subject is turning back to look at you, but you can't really see it, it gives this picture a slightly mysterious feel. Coming back to the colours, I also really like the bag you have (it is you, isn't it?) the brown really blends in with the look and feel of the image, and doesn't attract too much attention to itself, like a bag sometimes does. I only wish the focusing on your hair had been a little better and stronger, but that's just something I noticed after. This photo really looks like it's a snapshot out of an old film, and kind of makes you think about a story that it could tell, or possibly actually have. For example, a couple strolling out into the countryside, or friends going out for a walk. The simplicity of this image is stunning.
