CommentsComposition-wise, I think you could crop the hands of the model out at the top, it just seems to make a stronger image that way. I am not sure what concept you are trying to communicate, so it just seems like a well taken shot of feet. Maybe think more about what idea you are trying to express.
I hope that my comment doesn't dishearten you - I do not think it is a badly taken shot, but I think some more thought should be put into its meaning. Good luck, I hope I have helped -- "My only aim was to express reality, for there is nothing more surreal than reality itself. If reality fails to fill us with wonder, it is because we have fallen into the habit of seeing it as ordinary." - Brassai, 1899-1984 My pleasure

-- "De omnibus dubitendum" Ok, I know absolutely nothing about photography, so my ideas may sound completely ridiculous to someone as accomplished as yourself... and also, you may have other messages you were trying to communicate, of course.
But, this picture reminded me of those old chinese women who used to bind their feet so tightly that the bones broke and became disfigured. All because chinese men believed small feet were attractive. Maybe you could incorporate a Western equivalent, such as high heels into the picture somehow? To show what this girl has done to her feet just because high heels look attractive. But like I said, I really know nothing abotu photography, so it's just an idea really. But I do like the picture. I had the same impression, about the footbinding.
I think it's a good idea to add high heels in the background. Nevertheless it's a great shot -- If you're not getting answers, ask better questions. uhm..yes, that could be, although I was sorta inspired by "the passions of the Christ", you know...but I think the one with chinese women goes very well here...you may interpret this as you want, of course
plsu, I'm not that good of a photographer..I'm not "accomplished" as you say 's gonna look better -- my gallery my blog I love this and the feeling. It's really good.
